School-Based Support

for Students in Need

Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) is a school-based mental health service for students who are having a hard time managing emotions, behaviors, or relationships at school. Our counselors work alongside students during the school day, in the environment where challenges actually show up, to help them stay successful in their current school.

The goal is simple: help every student feel understood, supported, and capable of success at school and at home.

  • Struggle with behavior in the classroom
  • Have difficulty building or maintaining friendships

How TDT Services Work

A coordinated, school-based approach focused on helping students build skills, manage emotions, and stay successful in school.
1.

Referral and Assessment

Referrals can come from a parent or guardian, a teacher or school counselor, or another provider already working with the family. Once we receive a referral, our team completes a clinical assessment to understand the student's needs and determine eligibility for services.
2.

Individualized Service Plan

Our team develops an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) based on the assessment. The plan sets clear goals around behavior, emotional regulation, and social skills, with strategies tailored to the student's needs and the school environment.
3.

School-Based Therapeutic Support

TDT counselors provide consistent support throughout the school day, including individual and small group counseling, help with emotional regulation and coping skills, social skills development, and behavioral support and crisis intervention when needed.
4.

Ongoing Collaboration

Counselors work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to maintain consistency between school and home. We share progress regularly and adjust the approach as the student grows.
