Our Mobile

Crisis Response

Mobile Crisis Response provides in-person assessment and support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Our trained crisis team travels to the person's location, such as a home, school, or community setting, to assess safety, stabilize the situation, and determine the most appropriate next steps.

Mobile Crisis Response is accessed through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which coordinates with our team to dispatch in-person support when needed. This service is designed to reduce unnecessary hospitalization when possible while supporting safety and appropriate care.

How the Mobile Crisis Process Works

Our response follows a structured process focused on safety, assessment, stabilization, and clear next steps.
1.

Initial Contact

The process begins when someone calls or texts 988. The 988 counselor assesses the situation, and when in-person support is appropriate, coordinates with our mobile crisis team to dispatch a response.
2.

In-Person Response

A trained crisis team member responds to the person's location, such as a home, school, or community setting, to conduct an in-person assessment focused on safety and immediate needs.
3.

Stabilization and Safety Planning

Once on-site, the team works to reduce risk, de-escalate the situation, and provide supportive intervention. A short-term safety plan is developed to help restore stability and prevent further escalation.
4.

Coordination of Next Steps

Before the response concludes, we coordinate appropriate follow-up care. This may include referrals to outpatient therapy, medication management, stabilization programs, housing or food assistance, or other community-based support.
